1. Make a Nether portal in the over world. *See below how to make one if you don't know how.
2. Note the coordinates of the portal (F3), then divide the X and Z values by 8.You don't need the Y value as portals don't care about elevation.
3. Go through your portal & head to those divided coordinates, then make your portal in the Nether. You should come out in your original portal in the over world.
One block in the nether is equal to eight blocks in the over world
X- Increases East, decreases West.
Z- Increases South, decreases North.
Y- Increases by height, decreases by depth.
Nether Portal Creation
1. gather at least 10 Obsidian.
2. Build a door as seen below, 4 wide by 5 tall, the corners are not needed and can be a different block or just air.
3. set fire to the top of one of the bottom blocks with flint and steel, a fire charge, or even ignite the frame by using lava.
